Fraulein Schneider Styling Moodboard

Act One Scene Three gives us an introduction to the character of Fraulein Schneider. ‘As the lights come up, Fraulein Schneider enters. She is about sixty, full of vitality, interested in everything, probably indestructible. She wears a flowered dressing gown and carpet slippers.’  The mood board above shows what I think the character would be wearing. As said in the stage directions Schneider would be wearing a type of dressing gown. In the 1920's the gowns were more feminine then some of those available today. The fabric was chic, floral, satin and sheer. As Schneider is older, I believe she would have a longer gown on like the brown floral image centre of the mood board. I get this impression because she would want to stay feminine but would not want to expose herself like the younger generation. The colours would be darker tones of floral to show her maturity.
